Dorothy Smith

Services for Dorothy "Dot" Smith, 74, will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Mr. John Glover and Mr. Brad Cox will officiate. Burial will be in D/FW National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Mrs. Smith passed away on Thursday, November 22, 2007 in Fort Worth. She was born September 25, 1933, in Lookeba, Oklahoma to Tensley E. and Mandy Fletcher Cox. She married Jack Smith June 24, 1951 in Cleburne.

Mrs. Smith was a homemaker and a member of Field Street Baptist Church.

Dorothy "Dot" Smith is survived by husband, Jack Smith, of Cleburne; son, Stephen J. Smith and wife, Caroline of Powhatan, Virginia; daughter, Ann E. Gaines and husband, Grant of Yukon, Oklahoma; grandson, Brant H. Smith and wife Mandy and great-granddaughter, Raven A. Smith all of Mobile, Alabama; brothers, Howard Cox and wife, Hazel of Frisco, T.E. Cox and wife, Imogene, of Cleburne, Jim E. Cox and wife, Sherry, of Waxahachie and R. B. Cox and wife, Glenda, of Burleson and sister, Lura Brand, of Cleburne, She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Roy and Henry.

Visitation will be at the funeral home Monday from 6-8 p.m.
