Memorial service for Doyle Kolar, 50, of Joshua will be conducted at 4:00 P.M., Friday, May 18, 2012 in the Lofer's Bend Park in Whitney.
Mr. Kolar passed away Sunday, May 13, 2012 in Fort Worth. He was born January 9, 1962 in Fort Worth to Albin Sylvester and Kathin Virginia Joyce Lovell Kolar.
Mr. Kolar was a dairyman and of the Pentecostal faith. Doyle was known as "Fat Boy" until his grandchildren, who he adored, came along and renamed him "Fat Man". He was a generous man, always putting the needs of others above his own needs. Doyle enjoyed the outdoors, especially gardening and fishing. He was a member of the Armadillo Cycle Club. Doyle was famous for his great sense of humor and ability to spin a great story. His independent spirit and outspoken nature will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Lynn Dale Kolar; and sister, Theresa Gail Spencer.
Survivors include his children, Amanda Mitchell and husband Derrick, Amber Searcy Armendarez and Paul, Glenn Kolar, Jr. and Sky, Jeremiah Kolar and Kristen, Audrey Kolar, James Kolar and Hunter Kolar; grandchildren, Pacy, Joey, Harley, Tatum, Kylah, Hayden, Jolee, Leigha, Noah, Brayden and Blake; siblings, James Morris, Gloria Roe, Danny Cordell and Steven Mullin; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
