Service for Dr. Bill Ward, 90, of Cleburne will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, January 5, 2022 in the United Presbyterian Church. Reverend Dae Jung will officiate. Pallbearers will be Jarrett Justice, Jason Justice, Dallas Dill, Bryan King, Ron Parnell and Jimmy Campbell and Lonnie Holliday. Honorary pallbearers will be Fred Roberts, Jack Bridges, John Pruitt, Caleb Brabham, Bill Johnson, Tommy Yater and Joe Browder.

Bill passed away Friday, December 31, 2021 in Cleburne. He was born November 2, 1931 in Glen Rose to James Edward and Hollis (Pruitt) Ward. Bill graduated from Glen Rose High School in 1949. He graduated from Baylor University at Waco with a G.S. degree and received his DDS from Baylor Dental School in Dallas in 1956. Bill served on the USS Princeton out of San Diego as a Navy Dental Officer. He came to Cleburne in 1959 and married the former LuLane Beaver on July 25th in Dallas. He was a member of the YMCA, a charter member of the Cleburne Jaycees, and a past member of the Rotary Club. He was also a member of the American Academy of General Dentistry, the Association of Dentistry for Children and the American Dental Association. Bill served on the CISD School Board and Appraisal Review Board. From Baptism to death, Bill accepted Christ and baptized at an early age into the Baptist faith and then in the 1960's became a member of the First Presbyterian Church here in Cleburne that later became the United Presbyterian Church where his service included, serving on many committees as well as Deacon and an Elder.

Bill is survived by his wife of 62 years, LuLane Ward of Cleburne; children, Luanna Kathryn Ward of Cleburne, William Edward Ward of Cleburne, and Susan Ward Sontag of Cleburne; grandchildren, William Edward Ward, Jr. "Wills", Fredrick Ward Sontag "Ward", and Matilda Luanna Ward "Mattie Lu", all of Cleburne, and nephew, Fred Roberts of Fort Worth.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Fredda Mae Ward Roberts.
