Service for Dwain E. Faught, 76, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Monday, April 22, 2013 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Burial will be in Rough Creek Cemetery in Granbury. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Sunday, at the funeral home.
Dwain E. Faught passed away Friday, April 19, 2013 in Ft. Worth. He was born March 3, 1937 in George West to Marlin W. and Elsie M. Gellerhman Faught. He married Lou E. Weaver on Jan. 5, 1957 at Carswell Air Force Base in Ft. Worth.
Mr. Faught served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam Era, retiring in 1975, after 20 years service as a Master Sergeant. He then worked as a truck driver for more than 20 years. Dwain loved his family, his church and music. He went weekly to the Grandview Nursing Home and played his guitar for the residents. He enjoyed woodworking, especially making birdhouses, shadow boxes and tables. He was a member of the American Legion and Greenbriar Baptist Church in Alvarado. His love of life and fun loving spirit will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Lou E. Faught; children, Thomas D. Faught and wife Laura, Patricia Coppock and Cindy Hughes and husband Joe; grandchildren, Tyler, Janie, Kate, Tracey, Ben, Lacy, Seth, Caleb, and Madi; great grandchildren, Mckenzie and Brantley; siblings, Joyce Ruddick and husband Vernon; Leon Faught and wife Pam, Frances Brazeal and Karen Hardin and husband Chris; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a stepson, Rick Reasoner.
