A memorial service for Dwaine Lee Shawver, 80, of Cleburne, will be held at 10:00 A.M., July 2, 2022, at Calvary Baptist Church in Grandview. Reverend Todd Ledbetter will be officiating with Reverend Charles Payne assisting. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 P.M., June 28, 2022, at the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home. Interment will be Tuesday, July 5th at 10:00 A.M., in DFW National Cemetery, Dallas, Texas Pallbearers will be Cheyenne Nix, Kaleb Nix, Tony Pritchard, Earnie Breeden, Buddy Yates, and Buck Wesson.
Dwaine passed away, Friday, June 24, 2022, in Cleburne. He was born June 9, 1942, in Piqua, Ohio to Francis Leroy and Iva Clem Shawver. Dwaine married Jessie Mae Brown on January 9, 1965, in Salina, Kansas. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Grandview. Dwaine served in the United States Air Force and was a Baptist minister with over 30 years of service.
Dwaine is survived by his wife, Jessie Shawver of Cleburne; daughter, Debra Nix of Cleburne; grandchildren, Elizabeth Nix of Saginaw, Cheyenne Nix of Cleburne, Kaleb Nix of Stephenville; brother, Ivan Shawver and spouse, Melanie of St. Paris, Ohio; bonus brother, Dwaine Palser and spouse, Nancy of Covington, Ohio; and three nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; infant son, David Shawver, son, Dale Shawver, 2006; grandson, David Nix; and brothers Keith Shawver and Dean Shawver.
