Earlene Rives

Services for Earlene Wilbanks Rives, 85, homemaker of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, April 2, 2011 in the Crosier Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Burial will follow in the Baker Lain Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Friday.

Mrs. Rives passed away on Monday, March 28, 2011 in Cleburne. She was born on August 7, 1925 in Cleburne to Earl Emery and Anna Lee Nickell Wilbanks. Earlene married Hoyett L. Rives on March 28, 1942 also in Cleburne. She was a member of Granbury Street Church of Christ. Maw Maw was a friendly lady who enjoyed sewing, cooking, and flower gardening. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hoyett L. Rives; and sister, Bitha Hinton.

Survivors include her son, Jerry L. Rives and his wife, Iris; daughter, Alicia Reese; three grandchildren, Sheri Reese Smoot; Marrianne Rives Reigel; and Daniel Jay Rives; five great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
