Services for Easter Mae Bailey, 86, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 10, 2008 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Rev. Donald Earl will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. Pallbearers will be Michael Warren, Nicholas Pollard, James Harderway, Melvin Lauderdale, Carl Joe Smith and Rick Starnes.
Easter Mae Bailey passed away December 1, 2008 in Cleburne. She was born June 24, 1922 in Itasca to Robert Wallace and Lucindy Alexander Pollard. She was married to Sam Bailey, Jr.
Mrs. Bailey was a homemaker and a member of New Birth Baptist Church.
Easter Mae Bailey is survived by her daughters, Betty Lou Sparks of Cleburne, Edna Levon Spillman and husband, Henry of Ft. Worth, Patricia Bailey of Cleburne and Ester Mae Bailey of Joshua; son, Cornell Bailey of Cleburne; brothers. Booker Pollard, Sr. and wife, Beatrice of Cleburne, Bill Pollard and wife, Carla of Cleburne and Vernon Pollard of Cleburne; sisters, Pearline Francis of Grandview, Lora Faye Lowe of Cleburne and Stella Pollard of Arlington; many grandchildren, great, great-great and great-great-great-grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Bailey, Jr.; daughter, Katherine Earl and sons, Vernon Bailey and Virgil Lee Bailey.
