Eddie Jiles

Graveside service for Eddie Earl Jiles, 98, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Monday, March 31, 2014 in Greenacres Memorial Park. The Reverend Kevin Bentley and the Reverend Greg Robinson will officiate. Visitation will be from 5-6:30 P.M., Sunday, at the funeral home.

Mr. Jiles passed away Friday, March 28, 2014 in Ft. Worth. He was born October 6, 1915 in Cleburne to Julian Cline and Lilly Mae Bachoffer Jiles. He married Ova Mae Riza on October 17, 1937 in Cleburne and she preceded him in death on June 5, 2002. He then married Nora Inez Mullen in April of 2005 in Cleburne and she preceded him in death on July 1, 2010.

Mr. Jiles served his country in the United States Navy and worked as a blacksmith for the Santa Fe Railroad, retiring with 44 years of service. He was a member of Bono Baptist Church.

Survivors include his son, Stephen Jiles and wife, Sharon of Cleburne; daughter, Linda Lee and husband Bruce of Alvarado; granddaughter, Mindy Bentley and husband Kevin of Cleburne; great granddaughter, Lauren Bentley of Cleburne; and a brother, Eudell Jiles and wife Bobbie of Houston. He was also preceded in death by his parents; brother, J.C. Jiles, Jr. and a sister, Lucille McClure.
