Eddy Dean Dennis

Service for Eddy Dean Dennis, 67, of Rio Vista will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Monday, Aug. 8, 2016 in the New Heart Family Worship Center in Cleburne. Pastor Mike Maxwell will officiate. Burial will follow in Sand Flat Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jordan Williams, Paxton Thrasher, Jerry Landers, Michael Maples, Christopher Clark, and Chuy Mendoza. Honorary pallbearers will be Mathew Vaughan and Payton Thrasher. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Sunday, at the funeral home.

Eddy Dean Dennis passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2016 in Rio Vista. He was born March 31, 1949 in Johnson County to Homer Mack and Lucy Lavada Robinson Dennis.

Mr. Dennis was a dairyman and a loving son, father, grand and great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend to many. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his daughter, Candy Long and Michael Maples, of Rio Vista and Sarah Cleveland of Alvarado; sons, Bobby Dennis and Christina Lopez of Cleburne and Justin Dennis of Cleburne; mother, Lucy Lavada Watson of Cleburne; 15 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy Vaughan, Jo Ann Roy, and Rhonda Gibbs and husband Yale, all of Cleburne; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father; one granddaughter; one great-granddaughter; one sister; and one brother.
