Services for Edith Jean Brown, 74, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 17, 2014, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Chapel. Brother James Williams will officiate. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Sunday.
Pallbearers will be Joel Camp, Jerry Sykes, Floyde Brown, Clay Cowen, Jimmy Brown and Chris Russell.
Edith Jean Brown passed away Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2014, in Fort Worth. She was born Oct. 17, 1940, in Booneville, Ark., to Otha Neal and Myrtle Annie Patterson Brown. She was a seamstress at Walls Manufacturing for 26 years and worked at the Cleburne Wal-Mart for seven and a half years.
Edith liked to sew and cherished her family. She loved the Lord and was of the Church of God faith.
Edith Brown is survived by her one brother, Jack Brown and wife, Carolyn, of Cleburne; two children, Debra Fort of Cleburne and Larry Sykes and wife, Stacy, of Corsicana; three grandchildren, J.R. Camp, Justin Sykes and Sarah Robison and husband, Kendal; and two great-grandchildren, Hagen Sykes and Bella Sykes; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Allen Brown, Walter Brown and Jimmy Brown, all of Cleburne; two sisters, Dorothy Brown of Circleback and Viola Brown Bridges of Cleburne; and her beloved pet dog, Nipper.
