Service for Edith Rose Fergason, 78, of Blum will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2016 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Reverend Ken Coleman will officiate. Burial will be in Blum Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Tuesday, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Fergason passed away Saturday, Sept. 24, 2016 in Blum. She was born Aug. 27, 1938 in Hill County to Jodie Jefferson and Gussie Fair Brown. She married Clay Dell Fergason on June 29, 1957 and he preceded her in death in 1994.
Mrs. Fergason was a cafeteria cook and a proud supporter at Blum ISD, retiring with 23 years of service. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and a friend to many. One of her favorite pastimes was scratching lottery tickets. Edith was a member of First Baptist Church in Blum.
Survivors include her children, Robert Lynn Fergason and wife Jona Beth of Blum, Clay Dell Fergason, Jr. and Pamela Sue Capehart of Joshua, and Jody Elaine Fergason of Blum; grandchildren, Jimmy Ray Fergason and wife Brandy, Daniel Trent Fergason and Ashley Dawn Smith, and Haley Lynn Fergason; great grandchildren, Trinity, Keylee, Dalton, and Brynlea Rose; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by her parents and all her brothers and sisters.
