Graveside service for Edith Virginia Sims, 80, of Cleburne will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, June 15, 2012 at Greenacres Memorial Park with Pastor Don Worlow officiating. Procession to the cemetery starting at 10:30 A.M. from the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Scott Cooper, Kris Cooper, Chris Sheffield, Kenneth Miller, Chris Ellis and Jeff Ricketts. Honorary pallbearer will be Logan Chapin. Visitation will be held from 6-8 P.M. Thursday, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Sims passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2012 in Cleburne. She was born July 25, 1931 in Cleburne, the daughter of Willie Thomas and Alva Queen Sheffield. She was a homemaker and a member of the Calvary Pentecostal Church.

She is survived by her daughters, Pam Cryer of Godley, Debra Cryer and husband Rick of Godley and Jennifer Ricketts and husband Jeff of Cleburne; grandchildren, Bubba, Shelly, and Logan; one great granddaughter, Ally; sisters, Deanie Cooper of Decatur and Madine Burt of Cleburne; brother, Hubert Sheffield of Greenville; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.O. Sims Jr. on Aug. 21, 2005; parents, W.T. and Alva Sheffield and brothers, Joe and Herburt Sheffield.
Edith has been a loving wife, mother, mema, sister and friend and will be missed by all.
