Edna Buckner

Graveside services for Edna Mae Buckner, 98, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 26, 2008 in the Rosehill Cemetery. The Dr. Danny Crosby and the Rev. Dale Norris will officiate. Honorary pallbearers will be John H. Buckner,Clifford Colwell, Clarence Miley, Woody Kemp, Jr., Gene Buckner, Doyle Buckner and R. G. Buckner.
Edna Mae Buckner passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2008 in Cleburne, TX. She was born November 20, 1909 in the Possum Walk Community of Walker County, Texas to William Thomas and Susie Hurst Colwell. She married Russell Eugene Buckner on November 10,1929 in Fairfield, TX.
Mrs. Buckner was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church for 51 years. She also was a longtime member of the Mary and Martha Class of the First Baptist Church.
Edna Mae Buckner is survived by her daughter, Barbara Carothers, grandson, Bruce Holden and several nieces and nephews which include: Dianne Rhudy, Doyle Buckner and C.M. Colwell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Buckner; sister, Betty Root; brother, Bill Colwell and step-brother, Neal M. Walters.
