Edna Buckner

Service for Edna Mae Jernigan Buckner 86, of Godley, will be conducted 10:00 A.M., Monday, January 7, 2019, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Reverend Kenneth Coleman will officiate. Burial will be in Godley Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Roni Jernigan, Tyler Buckner, Trey Buckner, Cody Steward, Joey Bullard and Eddie Maxwell.

Edna passed away January 3, 2019 in Grandview. She was born January 3, 1933 in Leoma, Tennessee, to Jasper D. and Laura G. (Belew) Jernigan. Edna married Bill Milton Buckner on June 28, 1952 in Godley. He preceded her in death on July 23, 1996. Edna was a homemaker and had worked for the Godley ISD for over 10 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Godley.

Edna is survived by her children Terri Steward of Joshua and Mark Buckner and wife Diane of Rio Vista; grandchildren, Kristi Bullard and husband Joey, Cody Steward, Candy Bailey and husband Ryan, Tyler Buckner and Trey Buckner and wife Kami; great grandchildren Harlee, Garren, Rylee, Jaxon, Griffin, Carson, Barrett, and Hadlie; brothers, Don Jernigan of Godley and Gene Jernigan and wife Margaret of Godley.

Edna is preceded in death by her parents; husband and sister Martha Culver.
