Edna Massengale

Graveside Services for Edna Louise Massengale, 87, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, March 23, 2009, at the Rosehill Cemetery. The Rev. Charles Payne will officiate. Visitation will be from 3-5 p.m. today at the Crosier Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home.
Edna Massengale passed away Saturday, March 21, 2009, in Cleburne. She was born July 2, 1922, in Rio Vista, TX to Wesley Warn Rhoades and Desy Louise Forsythe. She married Barney Massengale on September 12, 1944, in Cleburne.
Mrs. Massengale was a homemaker and worked as a seamstress at the Textile Industries. She was a member of Blessed Hope Baptist Church.
Edna is survived by her grandson, Randy Earl Sides and wife Niki of Cleburne; her granddaughter, Lori Woodcraft and husband, Corey, of Liberty Township, Ohio, son in law, Charles Sides of Cleburne, two brothers, Bill Rhoades and wife, Doris, of Cleburne, and Travis Rhoades and wife, Charlotte, of Cleburne; 5 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, daughter, Sandra Sides in December of 1987 and Barney Massengale in January of 1996.
