Graveside services for Edna Irene Putman, 96 of Irving will be conducted at 10:30 A.M., Monday, July 27, 2009 in the Rosehill Cemetery. The Reverend Robert Herzig will officiate.
Mrs. Putman passed away Friday, July 24, 2009 in Irving. She was born July 16, 1913 in Godley to George Otis and Edith Marian Love Bandy. She married Charles Edgar Putman II, on June 10, 1938 in Joshua. He preceded her in death in April 1975. Mrs. Putman was a retired teacher with 29 years of service. Many of those years were at Coleman and Irving Elementary in Cleburne and at the Cleburne High School. She was a former member of the Eastern Star and Delta Kappa Gamma. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Cleburne.
Mrs. Putman is survived by one son, Robert Putman and wife Debra of Irving; two sisters, Lou Harrell of Sherman and Mary Neal Blanks of Ft. Worth; five grandchildren, Cammie Dale, Dr. Shannon Putman Nureumberger, Garrett Putman, Travis Putman and Trevor Putman and numerous great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son Charles Edgar Putman III.
