Edna VanZandt

Graveside services for Edna Marie VanZandt, 89, of Grandview were conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, September 11, 2010 in Rio Vista Cemetery. Pastor Jerry Reed officiated.

Mrs. VanZant, a homemaker, passed away Friday, September 10, 2010 in Grandview. She was born February 9, 1921 in Ft. Worth to Samuel Belton and Oai Augusta Carroll Patton. She married George VanZandt on July 15, 1939 in Cleburne. She was a member of Sand Flat Baptist Church.

Edna Marie is survived by two sons, Gerald VanZandt and husband Lou of Palmer and Ray VanZandt and wife Peggy of Grandview; two daughters, Donnie Stewart and husband Leon and Bobbie Waddle and husband Charles, all of Grandview; daughter-in-law, Sue VanZandt of Grandview; 16 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George VanZandt on March 18, 2007; one son Pat VanZandt on March 15, 1995; one brother, Junior Patton and her parents.
