A graveside service for Edward Clay “Eddie” Hyder, 72, of Cleburne will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2016 in the DFW National Cemetery in Dallas. Chaplain Eddy Carrell will officiate.
Edward Clay “Eddie” Hyder passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2016 in Burleson, after a long battle with cancer. He was born December 16, 1943 in Cleburne to Clay and Billy Hyder.
Mr. Hyder was a United States Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War and worked for the Santa Fe Railroad shops for 20 years, then for the Johnson County Sheriff’ s department. He will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his son, Clayton James Hyder of Glen Rose; brother, Phillip Lee Hyder and wife Theresa of Ft. Worth; two nephews, Blake Edward Hyder and wife Rebecca of Ft. Worth and Phillip Brandon Hyder and wife Nydia of Ft. Worth; and his beloved dog, Java.
