Service for Edward “Eddie” Stroud, 75, of Cleburne will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Monday, June 18, 2018 in the Calvary Baptist Church in Cleburne. The Reverend Charles Payne will officiate, assisted by the Reverend Brooks Monk and Mr. Dan Turk. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Steve Haney, Danny Turk, Jonathan Turk, Nick Stogryn, Jacob Stogryn, and Charlie Davis. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M.-6:00 P.M., Sunday, at the funeral home.
Edward “Eddie” Stroud passed away Thursday, June 14, 2018 in Fort Worth. He was born December 6, 1942 in Weatherford to Louis L. and Susie Carter Stroud. Eddie married Linda Sue Hall on April 19, 1968 in Weatherford.
Mr. Stroud served in the United States Army. Eddie worked as an aircraft mechanic for Lockheed Martin until retiring after 38 years of service. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Cleburne.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 50 years, Linda Sue Stroud of Cleburne; grandchildren, Dakota Daves of Stillwater, OK and Annika Samantha Strogryn and husband Nicholas of Cleburne; three siblings, Ola Faye Culwell and husband Clarence of Springtown, Naomi Turk of Kansas City, KS, and Norris Stroud and wife Donna of Arlington. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Vanessa Daves Graham; two sisters, Ruth Hurt and Flo Williams; and two brothers, James Stroud and Herman Stroud.
