Mr. Haverly passed away Friday, September 2, 2005 in Cleburne. He was born May 15, 1920 in Eufala, Oklahoma, to Charles Joseph and Lilly Mae Asberry Haverly. He married Jean Jones on March 21, 1940 in Cleburne.
Mr. Haverly retired as a carman for Santa Fe Railroad after 42 years of service. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and a member of the Assembly of God Church.
Edward Earl Haverly is survived by his wife Jean Haverly of Cleburne; two daughters, Janis Sims and husband Jimmy of Cleburne and Joyce Beaupre and husband Jahn of Grandview; son, Gary E. Haverly and wife Betty of Seguin; sister, Edna Montgomery of Keene; 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Paula Watson on February 16, 2001 and brother, Earnest B. Haverly.
