Services for Edward "Sonny" Hughes, 68, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 15, 2008 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery.
Edward "Sonny" Hughes passed away Thursday, September 11, 2008 in Ft. Worth. He was born June 28, 1940 in Cleburne to Otis Edward and Ida Mae Fletcher Hughes. He married Patricia Ann "Pat" Steadman on October 30, 1965 in Kennedale.
Mr. Hughes was a residential and commercial painter. He was a member of the Unity Baptist Church.
Sonny Hughes is survived by his wife, Pat Hughes; sons, Eddie Eugene Hughes and Scott Hughes and wife, Courtney; daughter, Holli Mears all of Cleburne; 4 grandchildren, Tina Hughes, Patricia Hughes, Bradley Mears and Loren Hughes; 4 great-grandchildren;sister, Glenda Shapaul of Cleburne and a host of other relatives and friends.
