Edward Walters

Services for Edward D. Walters, 73, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 1:00 pm, Monday, July 23, 2007 in the Henderson Street Baptist Church. Rev. Eddie Freeman and Dr. John Duncan will officiate. Burial will be in Parker Memorial Cemetery in Grapevine, Texas.

Mr. Walters passed away Friday, July 20, 2007 in Fort Worth. He was born March 5, 1934 in Fort Worth, Texas to Darwin and Hilda Marie Holton Walters. He married Vicki L. Heald March 3, 1984 in the First Baptist Church in Hurst, Texas.

Mr. Walters retired from Lockheed Martin as Vice-President PAC- 3 Program. He was a member of Henderson Street Baptist Church. A former member of Shady Oaks Baptist of Hurst, First Baptist Church, of Hurst and Riverside Baptist Church, of Fort Worth. He participated in the University of Texas Engineering Advisory Committee. He was a recipient of the Pioneer Award Missile Defense Technology and the David R. Israel Award - Ballistic Missile Defense.Edward D. Walters is survived by his wife, Vicki Walters, of Cleburne; son, Weston E. Walters and wife, Robbie, of Aurtin, Texas; daughter, Lesa Lewis and husband, Steve, of Lee's Summit, Missouri; brothers, Bennie Walters and wife, Susan, of Granbury, Texas and Edwin Walters, of Hurst, Texas;granddaughters, Elizabeth Lewis and Rachel Walters; grandsons, Robert Walters, Russell Walters, Andrew Lewis and William Lewis; father and mother-in-law, Robert and Joyce Heald and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Charlotte Rogers Walters, his father, Darwin Walters and mother, Hilda Walters.

Visitation will be at the funeral home Sunday, July 22, 2007 from 5-8 pm.
