Service for Edwin Melton Davis, 77, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, September 26, 2020 at the Cleburne Family Fellowship. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.
Edwin passed away September 21, 2020 in Fort Worth after a 10 year battle with cancer. He was born August 24, 1943 in Big Spring, Texas to Melton Edwin and Martha Mae (Horton) Davis. He married Betty Bogle on July 5, 1963 in Snyder, Texas. He was a construction supervisor for more than fifty years, ending his career at McCon Building and Petroleum Services. Edwin was a member of Cleburne Family Fellowship for thirty-five years, serving as a board member for much of that time. He enjoyed time with family and his grandchildren were his pride and joy. The door to the Davis home was always open and many claim Edwin as a father figure because of his loving influence.
Survivors include his loving wife, Betty Davis of Cleburne; sons, Eddie Davis and wife, Sherri of Maypearl, Jaycne Conner and wife, Charla of College Station; daughter, Patrice Brown and husband, Phill of Cleburne; brothers, Darrel Davis and wife, Litha of Lubbock, Kendall Davis and wife Wendy of Van Buren, Arkansas; sister, Janice Northerns and husband, Bill McGlothing of Liberal, Kansas; sister-in-law, Judy Davis of Snyder; grandchildren, Abigail Davis, Davis Brown and wife, Kaitlin, Bethany Brown, Justin Cox and wife, Jordan, Colten Conner, Caitlynn Conner and Camille Conner.
Preceded in death by his parents, Melton and Martha Davis; and one brother, Delwyn Davis.
