Services for Effie Mae Wooldridge, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2007 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Reverend C.D. McAdoo will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery.
Effie Mae Wooldridge passed away at her Cleburne home on Saturday, May 12, 2007 after a lengthy illness. She was 90. Effie was the daughter of Rebecca and Arthur Mackenzie Davis. She was reared in Rogers, Texas.
She moved to Cleburne and married Wilmo Wooldridge. From this union came Wilma Lee, Arthur Wilmo and Rhonda Gay and husband, Wilbert Walkins, Sr. whom she leaves to carry on her decades-long tradition of nurturing the community, by doling out love, sympathy, support and wisdom in whatever order needed.
She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren;12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter. Effie also leaves numerous cousins, a host of friends in her community and her church family at Cleburne's Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church (Reverend and Mrs. C.D. McAdoo). We mourn her passing and she will be greatly missed.
Forever in our hearts: Another soldier is going home.
