Graveside service will be Friday, December 22, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Oakwood Cemetery in Waco,Tx. Pallbearers will be Scott Edwards, Doug Edwards, Cory Edwards, Michael Daniel, Scott Peschel and David Mehl.
Elaine Marie Edwards, 75, of Waco, Texas passed away peacefully on Monday, December 18, 2006 in Cleburne.
Elaine was born February 4, 1931, in Wisconsin to parents, Wilbert and Mae Wehrenberg. She moved to Waco in 1958 and worked for the City of Waco for 19 years. She retired to her son's hometown of Cleburne where she spent her last years meeting new friends at the Buena Vista Senior Community.
Elaine loved to cook, play card games with her close friends and granddaughters, listern to music, and crate various arts and crafts. She could find humor in most anything and learned to laugh at life throughout the years. She was a loving grandmother who enjoyed visits from her grandchildren. More than anything, she was a wonderful mother, sister, Memaw and friend. Her kindness, love and determined spirit will be missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Loren and Ronald Wehrenberg.
She is survived by her two sons, Doug Edwards and wife Markeeta of Cleburne,Texas, Scott Edwards and wife Stacie of Springfield, Missouri; daughter, Carol Norred; brothers, Richard Wehrenberg and his wife Bonnie of West Salem, Wisconsin, Wilbert Wehrenberg and wife Alyce of LaCrosse, Wisconsin; sisters, Barbara Poelinger and husband Bernie of Onalaska, Wisconsin, Susan Butterfield and her husband Dan of LaCrescant, Minnesota, Sadra Ash and her husband Alan of Carrollton, Texas; eight grandchildren; and one great grandson.
