Eldon Ballard

Memorial Service for Eldon Andrew Ballard, 81, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, April 24, 2021, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel.

Eldon Ballard passed away April 5, 2021 in Cleburne. He was born to Jack and Mary Elizabeth (Wendell) Ballard on May 20, 1939 in Covington. Eldon married Carolyn Ann Ledbetter on November 9, 1976 in Cleburne. He was of Christian faith. He was a fire fighter for the City of Cleburne with 21 years of service, retiring in 1990. He was also a family man, farrier, and rancher who loved to hunt and ride horses. He was a friend to everyone and enjoyed spending his time with friends and family, and always being the center of everything. Eldon worked hard and could fix anything.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Ballard; children, Doug Ballard, Kim Smith and Robbie, Penny McDaniel, Brandi Hopkins and David; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sister, Ladean Stephens; nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Eldon is preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Clarence Ballard, and Lawrence Ballard.
