Graveside service for Elias Rios, 88, of Alvarado, will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2016 in Rosehill Cemetery. Father Christopher Stainbrook will officiate. Pallbearers will be Christopher Guzman, Paul Dominguez, Sammy Rios, Jr., Shawn Josey, P.J. Rodriquez, Bailey Rios, and Cassie Rios. Honorary pallbearer will be Anthony Rios.
Visitation will be at 6:00 P.M., Tuesday, with a Rosary following at 7:00 P.M., at the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home.
Elias Rios passed away Sunday, September 18, 2016 in Ft. Worth. He was born July 29, 1928 in Kenedy to Todors and Hirenia Garza Rios. He married Rosa Mendez on Feb. 11, 1948 in Karnes City, TX and she preceded him in death on Feb. 15, 2010.
Mr. Rios worked as a kiln operator for Texas Lime Plant, retiring with more than 30 years of service. He was of the Catholic faith.
Survivors include his four daughters, Betty Rodriquez of Cleburne, Irene Josey of Alvarado, Elvia Guzman of Rio Vista and Eva Dominquez and husband Trini of Cleburne; three sons, Sam Rios of Ft. Worth, Elias Rios, Jr. and wife Olga of Rio Vista and Freddie Rios and wife JoAnn of Cleburne; 19 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; two brothers, Adam Rios and Osavio Rios; sister, Manuela Solis and husband Jimmy, all of Kenedy; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters.
