Services for Elisabeth Harris Wilbanks, 92, of Cleburne will be at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 20, 2010, at Crosier Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Burial: Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation: Prior to service, beginning at 9:00 A.M.
Elisabeth passed away in Cleburne on Sunday, January 17, 2010. She was born to Oscar Terrell and Agnes Blanche Evans Harris on November 22, 1917 in Godley. Elisabeth married Douglas A. Wilbanks on June 2, 1935 in Cleburne. She worked as a secretary for Cleburne Memorial Hospital for 10 years before retiring. Elisabeth was an active and faithful member of Westhill Church of Christ. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, serving as a past Worthy Matron in the Ruth Chapter and the Green Thumb Garden Club of Cleburne. She enjoyed flower arranging, visiting museums, painting and worldwide travel. "Grandma" as her grandchildren called her, was known as a fine cook. Her outgoing nature will be missed greatly by all those that knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Douglas Wilbanks in 2007; and brother, O.T. Harris, Jr.
Survivors include her sister, Louise Alexander; sons and daughters in law, Tony and Pat Wilbanks and Harold and Nancy Wilbanks; special friend and caregiver of 13 years, Rhonda Taylor; grandchildren, Amy Fredrickson and her husband, Mark, Phillip Blaine Wilbanks and Nancy Audra Wilbanks; great grandchildren, Alex and Grace Fredrickson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
