Service for Elizabeth “Betty” Bruce, 69, of Keene will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Friday, June 26, 2015 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Pastor Terry Williams will officiate. Burial will be in Keene Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Kenneth Beck, Roger Beck, Porfirio Ponse, Brian Aycock, Kevin Kuhlman and Ricky Lively. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Thursday, at the funeral home.
Elizabeth “Betty” Bruce passed away Monday, June 22, 2015 in Cleburne. She was born December 15, 1945 in El Campo to Ethel Almira Beck and married Deward Lee Bruce on April 4, 1964 in Keene.
Mrs. Bruce was a homemaker and a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She loved her family and her beloved dog, Rowdy.
Survivors include her son, David Bruce and wife Amy of Cleburne and son, John Bruce; daughter, Audrey O’Neal and husband Ray of Chandler, AZ; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; special cousin, Beccie Ponse of Garland; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother and her beloved husband, Deward Bruce on September 3, 2014.
