Elizabeth Nelson went home to be with her Lord on April 9th 2009. Born Elizabeth Maxine McManis on January 18, 1943 in Carthage Missouri to the late Maxine and Alvin McManis. She married the love of her life, Herbert Lynn Nelson on June 25, 1961 in Anchorage, Alaska. After marriage the couple returned to Texas to reside in Austin before moving to Cleburne in 1968.
She was a loving wife, sister and friend to all who knew her. She loved to paint.

Visitation will be Sunday, April 12th from 6-8 p.m. at Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home. Services will be conducted Monday, April 13th at 3 p.m. in the CPC Chapel, Ricky C. Moon will officiate.
Elizabeth was the first of ten children and is preceded in death by her mother, Maxine Huffman; father, Alvin McManis; dad that raised her, Scotty Huffman and brother, Jackie Dean McManis. She leaves behind her night in shining amour of forty-seven wonderful years, Herbert Nelson; sister, Kay Kindt and husband, Larry of Lawton, OK; brothers, Charles McManis and wife, Gayle of Atlanta, GA, William McManis and wife, Pansy of Joshua, Kenneth McManis of Burleson, Mark McManis and wife, Sherry of Keene; sisters, Bet Elliott and husband, Roy, Sharon Sue and husband, Julius both of Joshua, Lydia Moon and husband, Ricky of Alvarado; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and a loving family at Heritage Place in Burleson.
