Ellen Blackwood

Services for Ellen Earlene Blackwood, 93, of Ft. Worth, will be conducted at10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 11, 2009 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Dr. Marty Akins will officiate. Burial will be in Lightfoot Cemetery, Cleburne. Visitation will be Friday from 6-8 p.m.

Ellen Earlene Blackwood passed away Thursday, April 9, 2009 in Ft. Worth. She was born July 3, 1915 in Johnson County, TX to Henry Ed and Ollie Jane Payne Homan. She married William Alden Blackwood on September 20, 1942.

Mrs. Blackwood was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.

Ellen Blackwood is survived by son, Billy Don Blackwood and wife, LeeAnne of Ft. Worth; two grandchildren, Melissa Lee and Chris Blackwood; two great-grandchildren, Maci and Cami Lee; two step grandchildren, Matt and Jocelyn Runnebaum; sisters, Ruth Padgett and Faye Anderson and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Alden Blackwood, December 16, 1984; three sisters and five brothers.
