Elnora Glee Elmore, 75, of Joshua,went home to be with the Lord, on Wednesday, May 28, 2008 in Ft. Worth.
Services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 31, 2008 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Mr. Roger Stewart will officiate. Burial will be in Blum Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jody Elmore, Jerry Elmore, Adam Anderson, Brandon Gaston, Rick Whitehead, Brady Gaston, Cade Campbell, Jake Campbell, Ryan Elmore and Blake Gibson. Honorary pallbearers will be Evan Gibson, Gage Elmore and Jess Elmore.
Elnora Glee Elmore was born September 20, 1932 in Vernon, TX to John William and Vada Ray Scales Dixon. She married James H. Elmore on August 26, 1950 in Ft. Worth, TX.
Mrs. Elmore was a homemaker and was of the Church of Christ faith. Her hobbies included crocheting, knitting, taking pride in making afghans, booties and blankets for newborns.
Elnora Elmore is survived by her husband, James H. Elmore of Joshua; two sons, Randy Elmore and wife Deborah of Cleburne and Marty Elmore and wife Jana of Bowie; four daughters, Kathy Anderson and husband Andy of Cross Plains, TX, Vicky Gaston and husband Russell of Minden, Louisiana, Debbie Campbell and husband Tony of Cleburne and Tammy Gibson and husband Mark of Allen, TX; grandchildren, Jody Elmore and wife Julie, Jerry Elmore and wife Elizabeth, Amanda Shafer and husband Scott, Adam Anderson, Dusty Anderson, Daley Anderson, Brandon Gaston, Rick Whitehead and wife Crystal, Brady Gaston, Cade Campbell, Jake Campbell, Ryan Elmore, Taylor Elmore, Lynsi Woodson, Blake Gibson and Evan Gibson; great-grandchildren, Erik, Gage, Jess, Paige, Trace, Tatum, Grace, Cash, Savannah, Causen, Kylenn, Braydon and Madelyn; two brothers, Bryan Dixon and wife Lena Mae of Cleburne and Danny Dixon and wife Alice of Mt. View, Arkansas and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Vada Dixon and brother, Ray Nelson Dixon.
