Elywn Flatt

Service for Elywn Robinson Flatt, 70, of Keene will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Monday, October 25, 2021, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Reverend Charles Payne to officiate. Burial to follow in Derden Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8:00 P.M., Sunday, October 24, 2021, at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Brian Martindale, Cody Reid, Jason Graf, Aaron Martindale, Braxton Martindale, Brant Martindale, Marc Robinson, and Matt Robinson. Honorary pallbearer will be Lanny Martindale.

Elywn passed away Monday, October 18, 2021, in Keene. She was born March 11, 1951, in Cleburne to Franklin Grey and Clota Lightsey Robinson. She married David Lee Flatt on February 1, 1986, in Cleburne. Elywn was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Elywn was a talented artist and crafter. Her creations ranged from painting angels and fairies to sculpting and even making hand crafted dolls, pillows, and jewelry to name a few. “Sweet Mama” as she was affectionately called, had a giving nature and touched countless people throughout her lifetime. She was known throughout the state for the many bracelets she made and gifted.

Elwyn is survived by her husband, David Flatt; children, Brian Martindale and wife, Christi, Krista Reid and husband, Cody, Heather Flatt Couch, Robin Rene Flatt, Clota Jade Santana and Jason Graf, Aaron Martindale and wife, Kristen; 13 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; siblings, Viva Shea Burk and husband, Larry, Farris Dan Wicker and wife, Sharon; nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, John Richard Robinson, and Lonnie Steve Robinson.
