Emma Armstrong

Graveside services for Emma Armstrong, 93, of San Antonio, will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 29, 2009 in the Squaw Creek Cemetery, Glen Rose. Mr. Clinton Howeth and Mr. BB Stevens will officiate. Visitation will be Saturday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Emma Armstrong passed away Thursday, March 26, 2009 in San Antonio. She was born January 28, 1916 in Fort Spunky, TX to William A. and Lillie Cunningham Howeth. She married Delbert Samuel Armstrong on October 31, 1934 in Cleburne.

Mrs. Armstrong was a homemaker and a member of Westhill Church of Christ.

Emma Armstrong is survived by her son, Gene W. Armstrong and wife, Minerva of San Antonio; two daughters, Lona J. McCarty and husband, Milton of Gastonia, NC and Shelia A. Breide of Ft. Worth; one brother, John Hoy Howeth of West Minster, CA; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Armstrong on September 24, 1984; parents three sisters and four brothers.
