Emory Avirett
Mr. Avirett passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2006 in Brownwood. He was born October 18, 1931 in Godley to the late Byron and Mittie Avirett. He was an owner and operator in the restaurant business for many years.
He had been a resident of Early since 2003, formerly of Cleburne.
Emory Avirett is survived by his son, Kerry Avirett and wife Patsy, of West Columbia,Tx; two daughters, Hallis Epley and husband Jim of Bangs, and Diana Preble and husband Gary of Anchorage, Alaska; brother, Jim Avirett of Cleburne,; three sisters, Mary Jo Ferguson of Cleburne, Helen Gossett of Everman and Frances Shockey of Ft. Worth; five grandchildren, Grant Avirett, Chad Avirett, Kayla Avirett, Alesha Epley, and Charlotte Epley. He was preceded in death by his brother; Emmitt Avirett, V.A. Leonard, and a sister, Joyce McWilliams.
