Erma Bateson

Mrs. Bateson passed away Thursday, February 2, 20906 in Cleburne. She was born April 28, 1908 in Marksville, Louisiana to Eno and Ernestine Angelhart Roy. She married John Allen Bateson on May 2, 1924 in Pineville, Louisiana.
Mrs. Bateson was a homemaker and a member of Prices Chapel Methodist Church from 1936 until it closed and then transferred to St. Paul United Methodist Church in the 1950's.
Erma Bateson is survived by her daughter, Johnnie Cohen of Cleburne; seven grandchildren, Jan Love, Jon Cohen, Herb Cohen, Rosemary Barshop, Roseann Powell, John Bateson and Sharon Huckabee Shirts; 14 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one grandchild, Sandra Stephens; husband, John Bateson in 1969; son, Roy (Bill) Bateson in 1975; and daughter, Mary Evelyn Huckabee in 1999.
