Ernest Leck, Jr.

Service for Ernest Leck, Jr., 80, of Fort Worth will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, January 31, 2024 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel with Pastor Ricky Gobert officiating. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery in Cleburne. 

Ernest passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2024 in Fort Worth. He was born June 20, 1943 in Fort Worth. Ernest married Verna M. Gafney on August 19, 2000 in Fort Worth. He served his country in the US Army. He was the owner of Ernest Grocery and Market in Fort Worth. Ernest was a basketball referee for over 25 years. He also played baseball. Ernest was very active in the community helping with various activities. He was very giving and loving. Ernest will be missed by all who knew him.

Ernest is survived by his wife, Verna Leck; daughter, Pam Cox and husband ,Fred; granddaughter, Tia Bevels and husband, Albert ; brothers, Charles Leck and Jerry Leck; niece, Christy Pounders and husband, Jason; numerous nieces nephews and a host of other family and friends.
