Service for Estelle Heflin Russell, 90, of Cleburne will be conducted at 11:00 A. M. Wednesday, March 9, 2011 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Burial will be at 3:00 P.M. in the Moore Memorial Gardens in Arlington. Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M. Tuesday.
Mrs. Russell passed away Monday, March 7, 2011 in Cleburne. She was born August 25, 1920 in Roanoke to Nathaniel Clifford and Janey Bridges Heflin. She married Charles Reagan Russell on August 26, 1939 in Dallas County.
Mrs. Russell was employed with CISD for 15 years and was a member of the North Cleburne Baptist Church. Estelle loved her flower garden, cooking, painting and quilting. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren cherish the quilts she made especially for them.
In August 2010, Estelle celebrated her 90th birthday attended by more than 50 family and friends who loved her. She continued to talk about this great celebration and all the people who were there up until the time of her death.
Mrs. Russell is survived by her daughter, Janie McPhail and husband David; son, Jimmy Charles Russell and wife Linda; grandsons, Richard L. Russell and wife Annell, Brian P. Holzmeier and wife Georgina and James C. Russell; great grandsons, Tommy Len, Kasey and Kolby Russell and Alex and Logan Holzmeier and one sister, Anna Brown.
She was preceded in death by parents; husband, Reagan Russell; son, Tommy Reagan Russell; brothers, Jack, Harry, Dan and Clifford Heflin; sisters, Eunice Claxton and Margie Holbert.
The family is grateful for the care their mother received from Ridgeview Skilled Nursing of Cleburne and the nurses and CNAs on the third floor of Texas Health Resources, Cleburne.
