Eugene Boen

Services for Eugene "Bub" Boen, 84, of Richardson, will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 14, 2007 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Grandsons, Matthew Harris, Jared Boen, Kyle Boen, Blake Boen, Conner Waters and Ron Harris. Honorary Pallbearer will be Chris Boen.

Mr. Boen passed away on Thursday, August 9, 2007 in Dallas. He was born March 3, 1923 in Tipton, Oklahoma to William Theodore and Ava Lavada Jones Boen. He married Ruth Pritchard on August 19, 1944.

Mr. Boen was a retired paint contractor. He enjoyed the outdoors and he loved his family, especially his grandchildren.

Eugene "Bub" Boen is survived by his wife of 62 years, Ruth Boen, of Richardson; sons, Jerry Boen and Janet Prokisch, of Livingston and Don Boen and wife, Rhonda, of Fort Worth; daughters, Darla Harris and husband, Ronald of Tom Bean and Sheryln Moore and Stephen Powell, of Richardson; sisters, Ruda Mae Pierce, of Olive Hurst, California and Barbara Baldree, of Marlow, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Chris, Matthew, Jared, Kyle, Blake, Lauren and Conner; great-grandchildren, Kasha and Chloe. He was preceded in death by 3 grandchildren, Jerry, II, Jordon and Renee, 2 sisters, Juanita Peckham and Laura Mae Rudd and 1 brother, Leon Boen.

Visitation will be at the funeral home Monday from 6-8 p.m.
