Eugene Hutcheson

Service for Eugene “Gene” Hutcheson, 85, of Rio Vista will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, May 7, 2016 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Pastor Weldon Coble will officiate. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Larry Collier, Mike Ward, Jimmy Stanley, Chad Sutherland, Chet Mears, and Daniel Wiggens. Honorary pallbearers will be Dean Moseley, Tommy Dutton, and Donnie Ward.

Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Friday, at the funeral home.

Gene Hutcheson passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2016 in Ft. Worth. He was born March 23, 1931 in Weatherford to Holiday N. and Stella E. Griffith Hutcheson. He married Wanda Ward on Nov. 12, 1960 and she preceded him in death.

Mr. Hutcheson served in the United States Army and was retired from General Dynamics. He enjoyed gardening; attending senior citizen dances, and was an avid animal lover. Gene will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his sister, Ruth Lynn Hutcheson of Rio Vista; sister-in-law, Shirley Moseley and husband Dean of Cleburne; brothers-in-law, Mike Ward and Don Ward; special friends, Mary and Tommy Dutton and Joyce Underwood; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
