Eugene Edward Turek

Eugene Edward Turek, a devoted family man and passionate craftsman, passed away peacefully on December 10, 2024, in Cleburne, Texas. Born on May 1, 1954, in Chicago, he lived a life characterized by hard work, generosity, and an unwavering dedication to helping others. He married Vicky Jill Vinson-Quilantan on June 22, 1974 in Burbank, Illinois.

Eugene was known for his impressive skills in building furniture and his ability to fix just about anything that needed repair. His love for craftsmanship resonated deeply with those who were fortunate enough to witness his work. He took great joy in spending time on his tractor, where he found peace and satisfaction in tending to the land.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Vicky Turek, and his cherished children, Sherie Gaw and Jason Turek. Eugene was also a proud grandfather to Samuel Gaw, a bond he treasured deeply. His siblings, Linda Teresh and Jeff Turek, as well as his nephew Alex Turek, will also remember him as an inspiring figure who positively impacted their lives.

Eugene was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Lillian Betlinski Turek, and his brother Carl Turek. His presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
