Services for Faye Marie Cryer, 93, of Grandview, will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 21, 2009 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Rev. Stephen McCoy will officiate. Burial will be in Rio Vista Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Monty Bosworth, Robert Bosworth, Jeff Bosworth, Jerry Hall, Terry Hall and Bill Bozka. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6-8 p.m.
Faye Marie Cryer passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2009 in Grandview. She was born October 23, 1915 in Johnson County to Charles Lee and Ollie Salena Cantrell Pipes. She married Louis A. "Jim" Cryer on July 28, 1934 in Johnson County.
Mrs. Cryer was a homemaker and a member of Friendship Baptist Church. She was the Sweetheart of the Sheriff's' Posse in 1969 and was on the Wii Bowl Bowling Team at the Grandview Nursing Home.
Faye Cryer is survived by her two daughters, Jimmie Jeschke and husband, Charles and Judy Hall and husband, Charles all of Grandview; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren and special sister-in-law, Mary Elem of Grandview. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Cryer on November 28, 2008; two brothers, C.C. Pipes and W.W. Pipes; twin sister, Flo Pipes and sister, Velma Pipes.
