On April 26, 2021, Felipe D. Cruz, of Cleburne, Texas, joined his Heavenly Father at the age of 79. Born in Oaxaca, Mexico, he never forgot his roots after joining his adopted home in America.
He was a loving husband and father, who enjoyed spending time with his family and adored time with his grandchildren, Ava and Mia. When he wasn’t working hard for his family, he enjoyed being outdoors, pulling weeds from his garden or lawn and tending to the flowers. He was a kind and giving man who always found a way to help his family or a friend in need. His biggest accomplishment was seeing his children graduate college and finding happiness in their own lives.
Known as Tata to his children, he shared with them his strong Catholic faith and never let them leave him without a blessing.
He leaves behind his wife of 46 years, Rosario and two children, Raquel and Ruben. He leaves behind also an extended family who adopted and embraced him as one of their own.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Pedro and Rosa, his siblings, Jovenal, Anita, Imalia, and Ofrensa. In his extended family, there are also many that preceded him as well… Too many to mention, but rest assured, there is a fiesta going on now in Heaven with Mariachis playing a tune for them all.
Viewing and Rosary will be held Thursday the 29th at 6 pm at Crosier-Pearson Funeral Home in Cleburne.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 30th at 10 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial to follow in Rio Vista
