Finis Carper

Cleburn, Funeral services for Finis N. Carper, Jr. of Cleburne will be held on Tuesday, January 25, 2005 at 10:00 AM at Cleburne's Crosier-Pearson-Mayfield Funeral Home, with Rev. Bill Schliber and Rev. Steve Dill officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will held from 6-8 PM, Monday, at Cleburne's Crosier-Pearson-Mayfield Funeral Home.

Finis Carper, retired from Style Rite Manufacturing and worked as custodian at Henderson Street Baptist Church, passed away on Saturday, January 22, 2005 in Fort Worth. He was born June 8, 1928 in Mangrum, Oklahoma, the son of Finis Newton and Mae (Steel) Carper. Mr. Carper was a member of Henderson Street Baptist Church. He married Margie Gustafson July 31, 1949 in Glen Rose, Texas.

Mr. Carper is survived by his wife, Margie Carper, of Cleburne; daughter, Cathy Cavasos and husband, Randy; daughter Libby Dill and husband, Steve; and son, Jerry Carper and wife, Carol. Also by grandchildren Christi Burton and husband, Lewis; Emily Cavasos; Newly and Daniel Dill; Brittany and Jerry Carper, Keisha Whitehead, Michael Whitehead and wife, Stephanie and great-grandson, Brendan Whitehead. He is also survived by two sisters, Nannie Tribble and Sadie Tribble, of Saginaw and a host of nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Family Life Center at Henderson Street Baptist Church, in Cleburne.
