Fleta Hicks

Memorial services for Fleta Hicks, 86, of Cleburne will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012 in Matthew Road Baptist Church in Grand Prairie.


Mrs. Hicks passed away Thursday, February 9, 2012 in Ft. Worth. She was born March 21, 1925 in Cornett to Leroy and Cornelia Bodie Sharpe. She married Joe Ben Hicks on Feb. 28, 1946 in Hughes Springs.

Mrs. Hicks was a certified nurses aide, who was also deeply devoted to her family. She loved to read, do puzzles and was a great teacher. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son, Ken Hicks and wife Mary Lou of Cleburne; daughter, Jean Williamson and husband Alan of Grand Prairie; grandchildren, Michele Koushan and husband Kevin and Chris Williamson and one great grandson, Ryan Koushan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Ben Hicks in Feb. of 1958 and a son, Clifton Ray Hicks.
