Flora Stewart

Services for Flora Bell Jones Stewart, 85, of Godley, will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, May 13, 2020 in the Godley United Methodist Church. Reverend Randy Tucker will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M.-11:00 A.M. prior to the service.

Flora Stewart passed away May 8, 2020 at her home. She was born October 30, 1934 in Bourbon, Mississippi, to Charles W. and Mattie Mae (Peterson) Jones. She married Oscar Odell Stewart on December 19, 1959 in Ferriday, Louisiana. Flora, loving wife and mother, was a homemaker. She also spent a lifetime caring for and nurturing others. She leaves a legacy of love.

Survivors include her husband, Oscar Odell Stewart; her son, Shelton Stewart of Godley; sister, Earline Watson of Florence, Mississippi; and brothers, Walter Jones of Shreveport, Louisiana, Oliver Jones of Wortham, Texas and Raymond Jones of Crosby, Mississippi; as well as a host of relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death were her parents; and brothers, Buford Jones and Hubert Jones.
