Florence Cooper

Service for Florence Arlene Joosten Cooper, 83, of Rio Vista, will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, June 16, 2012 in The Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Burial will follow in Rio Vista Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7-9 P.M., Friday, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Cooper went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 in Glen Rose. She was born Nov. 20, 1928 in Ft. Worth. She married Robert Carl Cooper on May 30, 1953.

Mrs. Cooper was a member of the Eastern Star, Rio Vista American Legion Auxiliary, Rio Vista United Methodist Church and the Rio Vista Cemetery Association. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wesley and Sue Joosten; husband, Robert Carl Cooper; brother, Wesley Joosten, Jr.; daughter, Jerilyn Cooper Crawford; and grandson, Billy Joe Spurlock, Jr.

Survivors include two daughters, Karen Crouse and Mary Kaderlik and husband Robert J.; grandsons, Carl and Carolyn Gibson, Robert and Ray Ann Gibson, Richard and Debbie Watkins and granddaughter, Thelma Green; 14 great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren; sister, Virginia Borcoman; and a host of nieces and nephews. A special thanks to sister-in-law, Wilma Cooper and niece, Mary Ruth Wirt for all of their help and support.
