Florence Scott

Service for Florence Elaine Scott, 83, of Cleburne will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, October 3, 2015 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. The Reverend Blake Carpenter, Chaplain, will officiate. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Paul Scott, Bruce Scott, Scott Carr, Ronny Rains, Cliff Martin, and Alan Edwards. Honorary pallbearers will be Delbert Rhodes and Max Scott. Visitation will be from 9-10:00 A.M., Saturday, prior to the service.
Florence Elaine Scott passed away Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2015 in Cleburne. She was born October 6, 1931 in Commerce to George Van Buren and Lottie Pearl Rhodes Wilkins. She married Billy Bryan Scott in 1952 in Sweetwater and he preceded her in death on April 13, 2002.
Mrs. Scott worked as an electronics assembler before retiring. She was an avid music lover who also loved yard sales, playing cards, and dominoes, and was an all-around jokester. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her daughter, Kelli Zunino and husband Gary of Cleburne; grandchildren, CWO Cory Arend and wife Tracy of San Diego, Calif. and Jana Opitz and husband Sean of Weatherford; great grandchildren, Sydney and Carys of San Diego, Calif.; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by her parents; sons, Dusty in 1991 and Brad in 2004; brother, Buren Wilkins and sister, Louise Petty in 2014.
