Floyd Edwards
After an extended illness and a courageous battle, Floyd McKenly Edwards went to be with the Lord and his beautiful wife on April 6, 2007.
Visitation scheduled for Monday, April 9, 2007 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home. The service is scheduled for Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at 1:00 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Marvin Ray Edwards, Jackie Edwards Doyle Taylor, Eddie Grundy, Bobby Reynolds and Jodi Bruce. Honorary pallbearers will be Derry Edwards II, Anthony Edwards, Chris Edwards, Chris Edwards, Jr., Collin Edwards, Gary Bennett Martin Ray Taylor, Tony Allen and Wayne Taylor.
Mr. Edwards was born on June 29, 1918 in House, New Mexico. Mr. Edwards served his country as a Tech Sergeant in the US Army during WWII. He retired from the Santa Fe Railroad with 38 years of service, then worked nine years as a maintenance supervisor and retired from the Cleburne ISD.
Mr. Edwards was a member of New Heart Full Gospel Family Worship Center in Cleburne, Texas.
Mr. Edwards is survived by three children: Virginia & husband Larry Keller of Cleburne, Texas, Dickie & wife Naomi Edwards of Fort Worth, Derry & wife Nadine Edwards of Weatherford; twelve grandchildren: Jada McAnally, Robin Susen , both of Cleburne, Lori Keathley of Glen Rose, Derry Edwards II of Bellview, Anthony Edwards of Lindale, Chris Edwards of Azle, LaWanna Edwards, JaWanna Edwards, both of Cleburne, Amanda Pena and Amber Pena, both of Ft. Worth; fifteen great grandchildren, eight great, great grandchildren and many friends.
Mr. Edwards was preceded in death by his wife Ada Anna Edwards, son Floyd Dale Edwards, mother Bertha Edwards, father Richard Edwards, brothers Albert Edwards, J.D. Edwards and Ray Edwards.
