Frances Giddens

Funeral services for Frances Giddens, 72, of Mineral Wells, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Monday, October 25, 2010 in the Crosier-Pearson-Cleburne Chapel with Reverend Charles E. Payne officiating. Interment in the Marystown Cemetery will follow. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 2:00-4:00 P.M. Sunday.

Mrs. Giddens passed away Thursday, October 21, 2010 in Fort Worth. She was born to Tommie and Annie Mae Cain Sullivan on August 19, 1938 in Cleburne. She retired after many years service in the meat market of local grocery stores, Diamond, Buddies and Winn Dixie. She was of the Baptist faith. Frances married Gary Grant Giddens on July 25, 1995 in Palo Pinto County. She was family oriented to say the least. Her family was her first priority and she loved them dearly. Frances enjoyed gardening and dancing occasionally. She was an excellent cook, baker and advisor. She was the kind of person that you could talk to about anything. Her patient spirit and giving nature will be missed greatly by all those that knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gary Giddens on June 27, 2010; great grandson, Riley; and three brothers, Jimmy, Leonard and Sammy Sullivan.

Survivors include her children, Clint Castillo, Connie Mahoney and husband, Terry and Arlene Elkins and fiancée, Freddie; grandchildren, Adriana, Daniel, Charles, Charlotte, Teresa, Jackie, James and Abby; great grandchildren, Kylie and Marshal; brother, J.T. Sullivan; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
